Poonam Pandey, the actor-model, passed away at the age of 32 on Thursday night. A post from her official Instagram account confirmed that she died due to cervical cancer. While the news surprised many, Poonam’s team verified it in an interview with News18 and her manager, Parul Chawla, also confirmed the sad news to ANI.
The Instagram post, shared with folded hands and a heart emoji, read, “This morning is a tough one for us. Deeply saddened to inform you that we have lost our beloved Poonam to cervical cancer. Every living form that ever came in contact with her was met with pure love and kindness. In this time of grief, we would request for privacy while we remember her fondly for all that we shared.”
Poonam Pandey was part of Lock Upp season 1 in 2022, hosted by Kangana Ranaut. She was among the top 11 contestants in Dance of the Lizards (2011). Her last Instagram post, from a party in Goa three days ago, featured a video of herself enjoying the event.
