AB de Villiers also acknowledged that Virat values his family, confirming that the upcoming birth of their second child played a key role in his choice to take a break. De Villiers mentioned that being authentic to oneself and prioritizing family is important, as well as expressing understanding and support for Virat’s decision, even though they miss him on the team.
Anticipation about Anushka Sharma’s second pregnancy started in November 2023, especially when she was seen at a Diwali celebration in Bengaluru before Team India’s World Cup match against the Netherlands.

Virat and Anushka’s first child, a daughter named Vamika, was born on January 11, 2021. The couple has been committed to keeping their family life private. They haven’t shown Vamika’s face and have discouraged photographers from taking her pictures.
