PM-SURAJ Portal: Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in an event marking the nationwide outreach for credit assistance to deprived sections on Wednesday through video conferencing. Let us tell you that according to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, Prime Minister Modi launched the Prime Minister Social Upliftment and Employment Aadhar Jankalyan (PM-SURAJ) National Portal and approved loan assistance to one lakh entrepreneurs from the deprived sections of the country.
Apart from this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also distributed Ayushman health cards and PPE kits to Safai Mitras under Namaste Scheme.
What is the PM SURAJ Portal?
PM SURAJ Portal is a national portal aimed at social upliftment and employment for public welfare. It facilitates easy access to loans for those in need. According to reports, individuals can apply for business loans of up to Rs 15 lakh through this portal.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, deprived sections of society will benefit from the PM SURAJ Portal. However, further details will be revealed once the scheme’s notification is issued. It is reported that eligible individuals across the country will receive loan assistance through banks, non-banking finance companies, microfinance institutions (NBFC-MFIs), and other organizations.
