Filmmaker Nitish Tiwari has recently begun shooting for his highly anticipated film Ramayana. In the film, Ranbir Kapoor is portraying the character of Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi is portraying the character of Devi Sita, and Sunny Deol is portraying the character of Hanuman. Previously, there was a rumor that Yash would portray the character of Ravana, and the makers had offered him a substantial fee of Rs 80 crores. However, the actor declined this offer, which left Nitish Tiwari very upset.

Fans were excited to see Yash in the role of ‘Raavan’, and the makers had been trying to approach Yash for a long time. However, there are reports that he will not be playing the role of ‘Ravana’ in the film. Despite not acting in the film, Yash is still earning significant profits from it.

According to a report on Zoom, the actor is involved in the film solely as a producer and does not portray the role of Ravana. Quoting a source in the report, it has been mentioned that Yash declined the role of Ravana and is associated with the film only as a producer. Instead of accepting around Rs 80 crores, he has decided to produce a film.

Recently, there were reports that some pictures from the sets of Ramayana have gone viral, which led filmmaker Nitish Tiwari to express his displeasure. Following this incident, Nitish Tiwari has reportedly implemented a no-phone policy on the film sets.

According to news agency ANI, Bobby Deol has reportedly been approached to play the character of ‘Kumbhkaran’. There are also reports that Vijay Sethupathi might play the role of ‘Vibhishan’, the youngest brother of ‘Ravana’.

Lara Dutta and Sheeba Chaddha will also be part of the film. Lara will portray the role of ‘Kaikayi’, the stepmother of Lord Ram, while Sheeba will be seen in the role of ‘Manthara’. The film is scheduled to be released next year on Diwali.
