Ayan Mukerji Takes Raha Kapoor Out: Raha Kapoor, the celebrity baby and daughter of Bollywood star couple Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, is quickly gaining popularity among paparazzi. But this Sunday, director Ayan Mukerji was the centre of attention rather than her parents. Raha and Ayan, the director of Brahmastra, which starred Alia and Ranbir, were seen having a lovely time in Mumbai.
As videos and pictures of Mukerji carrying Raha at a well-known restaurant in Bandra became viral, the internet went into a collective “aww” moment. Wearing a relaxed blue t-shirt and white shorts, Ayan appeared to be holding Raha tightly. Raha had on a cute set of printed pyjamas and was holding a snack in her little hands.
She captured the attention of the internet, but there was a reminder of the ongoing debate around the privacy of famous children. Mukerji was observed politely requesting the paparazzi to stop shooting as they were surrounded by cameras that were recording everything they did.
Respecting Boundaries
Alia and Ranbir have always made a point of defending their daughter’s privacy, so this is no secret. During a special meet-and-greet with the media in December 2023, the couple asked the photographers not to take pictures of Raha. In an attempt to show respect for what they wanted, they allegedly even sent the photographers personal photos of their daughter.
In Bollywood, this kind of request is not unusual. Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are among the famous couples who have made requests similar to those of the paparazzi about their kids. The main point of debate is that kids should be able to grow up normally, free from the unwanted attention of the media.
Paparazzi’s Perspective
On the other hand, the paparazzi work in a tough and difficult field. Celebrity pictures, particularly those of their kids, may attract high prices. They argue that their job is simply to document significant events and that celebrities give up some private control simply by their public personalities.
There is no denying this ethical quandary. Although it is legal for the media to cover celebrities, there is a thin line between public curiosity and interfering in a child’s life.
