Mumbai to Host 'Ayodhya' and 'Mithila' for Ranbir Kapoor's 'Ramayana' 3D Set

The upcoming film ‘Ramayana,’ directed by Nitesh Tiwari, has been making headlines ever since its announcement. Ranbir Kapoor will be portraying Lord Ram, while South actress Sai Pallavi has been cast as Sita. Recently, some pictures from their shoot were leaked, showcasing their grand appearances, which has left fans eagerly awaiting the film’s release. Fans are also curious about the depiction of Ayodhya and Mithila in the film.

According to a Mid Day report, 12 sets are being constructed to give the film a fresh and lavish visual experience. Both Ayodhya and Mithila will be created in Mumbai, with all sets expected to be ready by August 15. A notable feature of these sets is that they are being made in 3D format. Ranbir Kapoor is scheduled to start shooting from the last week of August.

The film’s schedule spans 350 days, covering shoots for both main and supporting characters. Besides Ranbir Kapoor as Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita, the film stars Yash from KGF as Ravan, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, and Sunny Deol as Hanuman. Reports also suggest that Bobby Deol, Rakul Preet Singh, and Amitabh Bachchan have been cast in significant roles.
