Zeeshan Expresses His Pain and Calls for Justice
On Thursday, Zeeshan Siddique, a Congress MLA from Bandra East, took to the microblogging platform X (formerly known as Twitter) to demand justice for his father’s murder. He firmly requested that his father’s death not be politicized. In his post, Zeeshan highlighted how his father lost his life while protecting the lives and homes of poor, innocent people.
“My Family Deserves Justice”
The president of Mumbai Youth Congress passionately expressed, “My father sacrificed his life while defending the lives and homes of innocent poor people. Today, my family is shattered. However, his death should not be politicized, and it certainly should not be in vain. I need justice. My family deserves justice!”

Baba Siddique’s Murder on October 12
On October 12, senior NCP leader Baba Siddique was brutally shot by three assailants while returning from his son Zeeshan Siddique’s office in Bandra East. He sustained two bullet wounds to his chest and was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he tragically passed away on the same day.

Mumbai Police has issued a lookout circular (LOC) against Shubham Lonkar, a key accused in this high-profile murder case. According to ANI, Mumbai Police have been relentlessly searching for the suspects involved in Baba Siddique’s murder.
Murder Conspiracy Planned Three Months Ago
So far, four suspects have been arrested in connection with this case, while three others remain at large. Mumbai Police revealed that the conspiracy to murder Baba Siddique was set in motion three months ago. The accused had visited Siddique’s house multiple times without weapons as part of their plan. The murder plot was reportedly hatched in Pune.
Earlier, on October 16, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde reaffirmed that those responsible for Baba Siddique’s murder will be held accountable and punished. “No one will be spared. Strict action will be taken against anyone found guilty,” the Chief Minister declared.
