The filmmaker Mani Ratnam revealed that he is a great fan of Sai Pallavi and expressed his desire to work with her. Responding to him, Sai Pallavi stated that she knew only Mani Ratnam and a few more director’s names when she entered the film industry and also said that he has been her inspiration while choosing roles.

The makers of ‘Amaran’ hosted a grand pre-release event in Chennai on 18th October. Shivakarthikeyan, Sai Pallavi and filmmakers Lokesh Kanagaraj and Mani Ratnam were attended this event.

Mani Ratnam expressed his desire to work with Sai Pallavi and saying, “I am a big fan. I hope I get to work with you one day.” Sai Pallavi quickly reacted and saying, “Before coming into movies, I didn’t know the names of many directors. But Mani Ratnam is one name I have always known. He is one of the reasons I am choosy about scripts and roles.”

Mani Ratnam’s statement has filled the hearts of Sai Pallavi’s fans and netizens are looking forward for the director to star the actress in one of his exceptional upcoming films.

Shivakarthikeyan also spoke about Sai Pallavi, called her a brand name in cinema. He said, “I saw Sai Pallavi in Premam. Just like everyone I too became a fan of ‘Malar teacher.’ When I called her to praise her performances, she said, “Thank you so much anna (big brother).. She is a big brand today.”

Sai Pallavi was last seen in ‘Gargi’, directed by Gautham Ramachandran. She will soon be seen in ‘Thandel’, directed by Chandoo Mondeti. ‘Amaran’ is directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy. GV Prakash Kumar composed the music for the film, which will be released on 31st October. In theatres, the film will clash with Jayam Ravi’s Brother and Kavin’s Bloody Begger.
