In a recent episode of The Kapil Sharma Show, laughter and storytelling took center stage as Vidya Balan, Kartik Aaryan, and director Anees Bazmee graced the couch. The show filled with thrilling stories, suspance, and witty remarks.

Kapil, known for his witty one-liners, sparked off the fun by commenting, “If a wife is as beautiful as you, the husband would keep the lights off to avoid others admiring her.”. Referring to lockdown days Vidya quipped, “Kapil is my neighbor, and his house lights were always off during the lockdown. And guess what, two kids were born during that time!” Her response had the audience in stitches.

The conversation then shifted to Kartik Aaryan, who shared a chilling experience from a film shoot. While filming at a spooky mansion, he said, “It was late at night, and the set was eerie. Suddenly, I felt someone scratch my back.” Triptii Dimri, his co-star, assumed he was just acting. But Kartik insisted, “I felt it for real, but when I looked back, no one was there.” His story added a playful layer of suspense, leaving everyone curious.

Director Anees Bazmee joined in with his own spine-tingling experience while working on a psychological thriller bbased on cats. Bazmee shared how he once felt like a cat was strangling him while he was developing the story. The sensation was so intense that his mother suggested him to avoid sleeping alone. To be safe, he arranged for someone to stay with him. However, one night, Bazmee unexpectedly began making strange noises, simulating the feeling of strangulation. His companion, terrified, fled the house, shouting for help. He explained, “One day, I began to strangle myself and started making strange noises. He ran away, and he began to shout, and soon a crowd gathered. They arrived on time. After that incident, I stopped working on that movie. So I believe it was a psychological effect.” Bazmee eventually stopped working on the film, chalking it up to the psychological toll of the intense storyline.

The episode also welcomed Paralympic gold medalist Navdeep Singh, who shared a touching moment with Kartik. Navdeep expressed his deep admiration for Kartik’s portrayal in Chandu Champion, saying it had been a source of inspiration for him during his training. “Whenever I feel tense or frustrated, I watch TGIKS or one of Kartik’s films. It gives me a boost to keep going,” he said.  Rajpal Yadav also made an special appearance in the same episode.
