Shalini Passi, a social media sensation known for her candid personality, recently made an unexpected appearance on Bigg Boss 18 as a guest. Her arrival sparked surprise among the housemates, but it was her unique demands and outspoken nature that quickly became the talk of the house.
Shalini, known for her straightforward approach, revealed that she doesn’t watch television and prefers apps to stay updated on current affairs. This confession didn’t sit well with Avinash Mishra, one of the housemates, who openly criticized her presence on the show. He questioned the logic of appearing on television while openly disliking it, saying, “If I find reading books a waste of time, should I go to the bookstore? If I find watching television a waste of time, then why should I go to television?”
In a recent interview, Shalini explained her perspective. She shared that overly dramatic visuals and conflicts make her anxious, which is why she avoids them. “I try to stay away from situations that make me uncomfortable,” she said, adding that she often feels uneasy in such scenarios. “I’m sensitive to negative situations and sometimes even experience palpitations.”
Shalini’s time in the Bigg Boss house turned out to be more emotional than she had anticipated. Reflecting on her experience, she admitted to forming unexpected bonds with the housemates. “I didn’t expect to get emotionally attached, but I did,” she shared. Shalini highlighted the unique qualities of several contestants, mentioning Sara, Yamini, Digvijay, Eisha, and Bagga Sahab as particularly special individuals. “Initially, only a few stood out to me, but as I spoke to them, I realized how special each one was in their own way,” she said.
Despite the emotional rollercoaster, Shalini enjoyed observing the dynamics within the house. When asked who she thought would thrive as a contestant, she chose Neelam, describing her as intelligent, calm, and good with people. Shalini believed Neelam’s balanced personality would make her a strong contender.
Shalini also shared her thoughts on choosing a partner if she were to enter the Bigg Boss house again. She expressed a preference for Maheep Kapoor or Seema, citing their potential to bring entertainment and energy to the experience.
Her exit from the house was bittersweet. Shalini admitted that saying goodbye was harder than expected, as she had grown fond of the contestants. “I had tears while leaving. They were all really good people,” she said.
The audience had mixed reactions to Shalini’s appearance. While some admired her honesty and vulnerability, others sided with Avinash’s criticism. Regardless, Shalini’s brief stint on the show left a lasting impression, showcasing her ability to remain authentic in a high-pressure environment.
