South superstar Allu Arjun has been released after spending a night in jail following his arrest. On Friday, December 13, the Pushpa 2 star was detained in connection with a tragic stampede incident during the screening of his film. Early on Saturday morning, December 14, 2024, Allu Arjun walked free from Chanchalguda Jail.
Upon his release, fans had gathered outside the jail to catch a glimpse of the superstar. However, the actor exited through the back gate to avoid the crowd. Post-release, Allu Arjun visited Geetha Arts office with his father Allu Aravind, where industry colleagues came to meet him.
The most emotional moment, however, awaited him at home. Upon reaching his residence, Allu Arjun’s wife Sneha Reddy and their children welcomed him with teary eyes. On December 4, 2024, during the screening of Pushpa 2: The Rule at Hyderabad’s Sandhya Theatre, a sudden stampede occurred, tragically claiming the life of a 32-year-old woman. The chaos reportedly erupted as fans rushed to see Allu Arjun at the venue.
The actor was arrested in connection with the incident and presented before Nampally Criminal Court, which initially sent him to a 14-day judicial remand. However, during an urgent hearing, the Telangana High Court granted Allu Arjun interim bail, leading to his release.
