Nagpur Police Nab Gangster During Midnight Screening: In a dramatic turn of events, Nagpur police arrested notorious gangster and drug smuggler Vishal Meshram during the midnight screening of the much-anticipated film Pushpa 2: The Rule. The incident occurred on Thursday, leaving the audience shocked as the police swooped in to apprehend the fugitive.
Meshram’s Long Criminal Record
Meshram, a notorious name in Maharashtra’s criminal circles, had been evading law enforcement for over a decade. With a criminal history that includes 27 cases, Meshram has been charged with two murders, drug trafficking, and assaults on police officials. Despite being on the run for 10 months, his downfall came due to meticulous police surveillance.
Strategic Police Operation
Acting on a tip-off, police learned that Meshram planned to attend the screening of Pushpa 2. Using cyber surveillance, they tracked him to a sports utility vehicle (SUV) parked outside the cinema hall. To ensure his capture, police deflated the SUV’s tires, cutting off his escape route.
As the movie reached its climax, officers entered the theater, surrounded Meshram, and arrested him without alarming the audience. The operation was executed seamlessly, with minimal disruption to the screening.
Meshram to Face Legal Action
Post-arrest, Meshram was taken to Nagpur Central Jail and is likely to be transferred to Nashik jail, where he will face trial for his long list of offenses.
