Nouran Aly, wife of actor Vivian Dsena, recently traveled from Bahrain to Mumbai to support her husband, currently participating in Bigg Boss 18. Sharing her experience of being apart for the first time in years, she expressed how challenging it has been. “We’re used to visiting each other or at least staying connected daily,” she shared, highlighting her growing appreciation for Vivian’s role in their lives.
Vivian’s attention to detail, particularly regarding cleanliness, has been a talking point on the show, and Nouran confirmed its accuracy. She recalled that, early in their marriage, his obsession with tidiness extended even to his reluctance to share a washroom. Over time, however, their shared meticulousness brought them closer. Their relationship blossomed despite cultural differences and a brief courtship. She mentioned, “Marriage became our way of discovering each other’s habits and quirks. It took us nearly six months to adjust to one another.”
Addressing rumors of infidelity that have haunted Vivian, Nouran firmly dismissed them as baseless. She explained that Vivian had separated from his ex-wife, Vahbiz Dorabjee, in 2016, and she only met him two years later through work. By the time she and Vivian became engaged, his divorce proceedings were well underway, though delayed by the pandemic. “The timeline simply doesn’t support those claims,” she emphasized.
Speculation surrounding Vivian’s conversion to Islam also surfaced, but Nouran clarified it wasn’t due to her influence. She initially hesitated to accept his proposal because of their cultural differences but respected his deeply personal decision to embrace her faith. “It was entirely his choice,” she said, underscoring that the decision came from his own convictions.
Nouran also addressed criticism about a comment she made about fellow contestant Karan Veer Mehra. The remark, which seemingly referred to him as a “junior artiste,” sparked backlash. She clarified that her words were taken out of context, explaining that she was recounting an incident where Karan had indirectly referred to Vivian that way. She remarked, “I respect junior artistes immensely; no project can succeed without them.” The edit, however, made it appear dismissive, which was not her intention.
Vivian’s label as Bigg Boss’s “laadla” has stirred mixed reactions, with accusations of favoritism. Nouran acknowledged the controversy but expressed concern that such perceptions might diminish his genuine efforts. She noted that Vivian’s longstanding association with the channel spans over a decade, making him a loyal contributor to their success. She emphasized, “Every season has a channel favourite; this time, they’ve simply chosen to acknowledge it openly.”
The couple’s decision to keep their private life under wraps has also been a topic of interest. Nouran explained that Vivian’s protective nature stems from lessons learned in his previous relationship, where exposure to public scrutiny caused significant stress. Shielding their family from unnecessary attention has been a priority, especially after facing harsh judgments about faith, appearance, and past choices. She remarked, “Once you step into the public eye, you’re exposed to judgment and trolling about your appearance, faith, and past — something I’ve experienced since appearing on Bigg Boss.” Initially, Nouran found it overwhelming but has since learned to cope with public opinions.
Fatherhood has profoundly shaped Vivian, who has embraced Nouran’s two daughters from her previous marriage alongside their youngest, Layan. Nouran praised his role, noting that his bond with her eldest daughter is particularly special. She disclosed that their elder daughter calls Vivian ‘buddy’. She shared how deeply her daughter supports Vivian, even becoming emotional when he faces challenges on the show. “She’s proud of him and celebrates his achievements,” Nouran revealed, emphasizing the unwavering love he shares with all three children.
Fans are excited about Vivian in the current5 season of Bigg Boss. It would be interesting to see if Bigg Boss’s prediction of him becoming the finalist come true.
