Karan Veer Mehra, the winner of Bigg Boss season 18, recently opened up about his complicated relationship with Vivian Dsena, who finished as the first runner-up. The two started off as friends but ended up as frenemies during the reality show, a shift that Karan recently discussed in a candid interview with Siddharth Kannan.

When asked if he felt that Vivian’s success in the entertainment industry had made him arrogant, Karan did not hold back. He expressed that Vivian has always had an air of arrogance about him, which, according to Karan, is part of Vivian’s nature. Karan added that even if Vivian wasn’t in the same profession, he believed he would still carry the same attitude. While acknowledging this trait, Karan clarified that he didn’t find it wrong; it was just a part of who Vivian is.

Karan further explained that his feelings of resentment stemmed from his own sense of jealousy. He admitted to feeling envious of Vivian’s ease in securing top spots and public favor, adding that he had expressed this to Vivian. Karan said, “And I have said it ki ‘tujhe kaafi kuchh easily mil gaya’. You are the laadla, you have been announced as top 2. Aur jo gaya bhi wo top 2 mein. You got things easily.” He mentioned that, while their personal lives were in turmoil, Vivian’s seemed more stable, fueling his jealousy.

When discussing why their friendship didn’t work out, Karan shared his thoughts on how the relationship could have evolved differently. He believed that if he had been honest about his jealousy, Vivian should have taken the higher ground and tell him “nahi yaar, tune bhi toh bohot kuchh kiya hai.” However, when Vivian chose to align himself with Avinash Mishra, someone with whom Karan had an ongoing conflict,it only made their bond more strained. Karan felt this move further distanced them, leading him to form his own group.

Karan also pointed out what he considered an immature moment from Vivian. He referred to a specific incident in Bigg Boss where Vivian mocked a girl for her personal habits, a move Karan deemed unnecessary and childish. This behavior, according to Karan, played a role in creating further emotional distance between them. Karan believed that had Vivian been more considerate, their relationship could have remained friendly.

Adding more fuel to the fire, Karan talked about the party that Vivian and his wife Nouran Aly hosted after the Bigg Boss finale. Karan revealed that he was not invited to the gathering and jokingly mentioned that Vivian probably felt some FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) because of it. Karan humorously claimed that many people had expressed their desire to invite him, and his absence would have left them feeling disappointed. His response to this situation was lighthearted, showing that he wasn’t overly affected by not receiving an invitation.

Karan’s response to Vivian unfollowing him on social media was equally indifferent. He said that these matters didn’t bother him in the slightest and that he was focused on his own work. He also made it clear that he had no opinion on Vivian’s wife Nouran Aly, as he had only met her once and wasn’t familiar with her well enough to form a judgment.

In the interview, Karan made it evident that while he had issues with Vivian’s actions during their time on the show, he was not holding onto any grudges. He recognized that both of them had different personalities and ways of dealing with situations.

His reflections on their time together reveal that, although their bond didn’t last, the experience gave him clarity and a sense of closure. With Bigg Boss 18 now behind him, Karan Veer Mehra seems ready to leave the drama in the past and continue forging his own path in the entertainment industry.
