Bengaluru: The Kannada film industry is mourning the sudden demise of veteran actor Giri Dinesh, who passed away due to a heart attack. The actor, widely recognized for his role in the 2008 blockbuster Navagraha, collapsed while performing a puja at his residence. Fans and colleagues have expressed their grief on social media, remembering his contribution to the industry.
Sudden Chest Pain Led to His Passing
According to Times Now, Giri Dinesh was performing a puja at his home on Friday, February 7, when he experienced severe chest pain and collapsed. His family rushed him to the nearest hospital, but doctors declared him dead on arrival. His last rites are scheduled for Saturday.
Giri Dinesh’s Journey in Cinema
Giri Dinesh was the son of renowned Kannada actor Dinesh and began his career as a child artist in Nanna Mudina Rani. However, he gained massive popularity in 2008 when he played the role of Shetty in Navagraha, a film directed by Dinakar Thoogudeepa. The movie featured stars like Tarun Sudhir, Darshan, Srujan Lokesh, Vinod Prabhakar, and Dharma Keerthiraj.
