Samarth Jurel, currently a part of Laughter Chefs: Unlimited Entertainment, recently opened up about the mixed reactions the show has been receiving from its audience. In an interview Samarth acknowledged that while some fans miss the old cast, the show’s format was always designed to introduce new celebrities every season.
He explained that Laughter Chefs initially started as an underdog but quickly became one of the top non-fiction shows. The growing popularity led to fans becoming attached to the original cast, and many now struggle to accept the new faces. “Fans are watching the episodes, but they miss Karan Kundrra, Arjun Bijlani, and Aly Goni,” Samarth shared, noting that viewers often ask where these stars have gone. Despite this, Samarth reassured that the makers had always intended to bring in fresh faces each season. He added, “The makers always planned to bring new celebrities each season. They have their fixed show runners like Krushna bhai and Sudesh ji, while the rest of the celebrities come in, cook, and have fun.”
Samarth pointed out that this rotating cast concept helps keep the show exciting. “Isn’t it great? If this change hadn’t happened, how would I have joined the show?” he asked, acknowledging that without the fresh lineup approach, he might not have had the opportunity to join the show himself.
Regarding his own experience on the show, Samarth revealed that he’s received positive feedback from both the audience and the production team. “I’ve been getting great feedback so far. The channel and production house have been praising me and saying I’m doing well on the show,” he said. He also expressed gratitude for working alongside stars like Krushna and Sudesh, describing the experience as “incredible.”
Reflecting on the presence of former Bigg Boss contestants on the show, Samarth jokingly remarked that Laughter Chefs seemed like a mini reunion of Bigg Boss 17. He shared, “When they offered me the show, I was like, ‘Arre, ye toh Bigg Boss 17 nahi ho gaya?’” He added that many of the stars on the show had appeared on Bigg Boss in the past, and that those experiences help viewers connect with the contestants. He also acknowledged that the makers know exactly who has the ability to entertain.
In summary, while Laughter Chefs has been receiving mixed feedback due to the change in its cast, Samarth’s enthusiasm and positive outlook have clearly resonated with both fans and the production team. He remains excited about the opportunity and is proud to be part of the show, especially with such a talented group of stars.
