Upsetting news for the Bhojpuri film industry, as the industry suffered a huge loss with the death of actress Anchal Tiwari, singer Chhotu Pandey and others in a road accident yesterday, on Monday, 26 February.
According to Police, the incident took place in Kaimur district of Bihar, where a deadly collision between a SUV, motorcycle and truck occurred killing total 9 people, including the celebs from the bhojpuri cinema. Apart from Anchal Tiwari and Chhotu Pandey, actress Simran Srivastava and four other rising stars of the industry died in the accident.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has expressed grief through a tweet in his account on X, formerly Twitter. Bihar C.M. wrote, “I’m sorry to hear about the tragic road accident near Devkali on NH 2 in Mohania, Kaimur district. My heartfelt condolences go out to the families of those who lost their lives. We’ve directed the authorities to ensure proper care for the injured, and we hope for a quick recovery for them.”
Names of Victims
The accident occurred on GT Road near Devkali village of Mohania police station on Sunday evening, 25 February. The diseased were identified as Aanchal Tiwari, Simran Srivastava, Prakash Ram, Dadhibal Singh, Anu Pandey, Shashi Pandey, Satya Prakash Mishra and Bagish Pandey on Monday by Mohania DSP Dileep Kumar, according to news outlet Punjab Kesari.
