In a recent interview, Aamir spoke candidly about his role, saying, “This time, my character is very rude. But the story is designed to bring joy and laughter, unlike Taare Zameen Par, which had an emotional tone.”
Aamir’s character in the original Taare Zameen Par, Ram Shankar Nikumbh, was deeply empathetic and supportive, helping a dyslexic child overcome his struggles. However, in this spiritual sequel Sitare Zameen Par, Aamir takes a bold turn, portraying a more brash and blunt personality.
“While Nikumbh in Taare Zameen Par was kind and caring, the new character in Sitare Zameen Par has a rude, comic streak,” Aamir added. “But audiences will still connect with him in a fun, emotional way.”
