Shahrukh Khan starrer Dunki and Prabhas led the film Salaar to beat the drums at the box office in India and globally. Dunki was released on 21 December 2023 meanwhile Salaar hit theatres a day after on 22nd December. Both films have earned massive global reach and brought billions to the box office. The steady flow of cinema lovers still sitting in theaters to watch these movies.

Dunki, Day 17 at the Box Office

On day 17, the film, based on the concept, of how and why people take illegal and dangerous ways to achieve their goal of migrating to their dream country, has collected ₹3.50 crore across all languages. In total, Dunki has collected ₹212.22 crore, according to the report.

Meanwhile, the Global collection of Dunki has crossed 400 crore buckets and has earned 414 crores.

Salaar box office collection

Salaar, a blockbuster movie starring Prabhas has made 387 crore at the Indian box office in total. On the 16th day, the film garnered 5.25 crore. While it’s global collection has joined a 700 crore club which is much more than Dunki.

Conceptual differences between the giants

In the movie Dunki, Shah Rukh Khan is seen playing Hardayal Singh Dhillon, aka Hardy, and Taapsee Pannu plays the female lead of Manu Randhawa, audiences are also mesmerized to see Vicky Kaushal as Sukhi and Boman Irani’s role as Geetu Gulati.

Whereas Salaar is a movie about two friends turning into enemies. The movie comes from the makers of KGF and has shown quite a similarity as Prabhas plays the role of kingmaker for his friend but the bond between the two takes a drastic turn leading the friends to play brutal characters. The role of the friend has been played by Prithviraj Sukumaran.

A non-action Dunki and an action-killing Salaar have served the fans with an opposite treat of hot and sour candy. Salaar also hyped the fans as part 2 is already much anticipated.
