Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi received a prestigious award, the ‘Padma Vibhushan’, from the Indian government for his contributions to Indian cinema. He was so surprised and honoured. The news left the actor speechless. A fan showed their admiration by putting up Chiranjeevi’s picture on a billboard in Times Square, New York, and now fans are sharing videos of it on Instagram and X.

In the video posted by fans, Chiranjeevi’s picture is shown on a big screen at Times Square. Fans named Srinivas Naidu and Timmy Cheedala organized this. In the picture, Chiranjeevi is wearing a white traditional outfit. The billboard carries a message saying, “Congratulations Megastar Chiranjeevi garu for receiving India’s most prestigious award, Padma Vibhushan.”

The kind and generous actor Chiranjeevi received his first Padma Award, the Padma Bhushan, in 2006. The announcement of Padma Vibhushan is an elevation of the previous honour.

Greetings Pouring from the Celebs

Not only did many fans congratulate Chiranjeevi, but also celebrities like Jr NTR, Mammootty, and Mahesh Babu shared their congratulations on social media after he received the honour. Some filmmakers visited him in person, and his family members, including Ram Charan, Upasana Konidela, Varun Tej, Allu Arjun, and others, posted heartfelt messages on social media.

Chiranjeevi celebrated his mother Anjana Devi’s birthday on Monday and posted pictures on his Instagram and X (formerly known as Twitter). He called his mother a “goddess” in his birthday wishes. The photos show Chiranjeevi with his wife Surekha Konidela and other family members, with a backdrop decorated with balloons and flowers. In his caption in Telugu, he expressed love and birthday greetings to his mother, saying she’s like a visible goddess who raised him.

Chiranjeevi on the Work Front

The actor has acted in more than 160 movies in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada throughout his long career. His latest film was Meher Ramesh’s Bholaa Shankar, a remake of the Tamil movie Vedalam. He is set to start filming for Vishwambhara with director Vasshista Mallidi, aiming for a Sankranthi 2025 release.
