Bollywood’s iconic film Fashion, starring Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut, is all set for a grand re-release on Women’s Day this year. The movie will hit theatres again on March 7, 2025, to celebrate powerful women-centric stories in Indian cinema.
Directed by Madhur Bhandarkar, Fashion originally released in 2008 and became a massive hit, showcasing the dark side of the glamour world. The film won two National Film Awards, with Priyanka Chopra bagging Best Actress and Kangana Ranaut winning Best Supporting Actress.
The story revolves around Meghna Mathur (Priyanka Chopra), a small-town girl who rises to fame in the modeling industry but faces harsh realities along the way. The movie’s bold narrative made it a cult classic and marked a turning point in Priyanka Chopra’s career, setting her on the path to international success.
Talking about the re-release, the producer expressed excitement, saying,
“Great stories never fade away. People still remember Fashion, and we hope it receives the same love again.”
Along with Fashion, other popular women-centric films like Queen and Highway will also re-release on Women’s Day.
