Jaideep Ahlawat Rejects Pivotal Role in Ramayana: Jaideep Ahlawat, known for his stellar performances in Gangs of Wasseypur, Raazi, Pataal Lok 2, and the upcoming Jewel Thief, was recently offered a significant role in Nitesh Tiwari’s grand cinematic project Ramayana. The acclaimed actor was approached to portray Vibhishana — Ravana’s righteous brother — a character of moral integrity and critical importance in the epic tale.

However, sources reveal that Jaideep had to turn down the opportunity due to existing work commitments and clashing dates, making him unavailable for the shoot schedule. Despite being an exciting addition to the film’s lineup, the actor had to prioritize ongoing projects.

Ranbir Kapoor Reflects on Playing Lord Ram

Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor, who leads the film as Lord Rama, recently opened up about his experience working on the magnum opus during the Red Sea Film Festival in Jeddah. “Ramayana is the greatest story ever told. My childhood friend Namit Malhotra is making it with immense passion. We have the best artists and an incredible team under Nitesh Tiwari’s direction,” said Ranbir.
