Mamta Kulkarni Faces Expulsion from Kinnar Akhada Amid Rising Controversies

In a shocking turn of events, Bollywood actress Mamta Kulkarni has been expelled from the Kinnar Akhada just days after her appointment as Mahamandaleshwar. The Kumbh Mela, which has been a subject of much discussion lately, saw Kulkarni, along with others, embracing the life of a sadhu. She had even gone through the ceremony of Patanjali Abhishek on January 24, marking her initiation into the religious community.

However, her journey as Mahamandaleshwar was marred by intense controversy. Many saints and members of the Akhada were displeased with her appointment. According to Rishi Ajay Das, the decision was met with significant opposition, prompting a reshuffle within the Akhada. The new leadership will soon announce a replacement for the position of Mahamandaleshwar.

Not only was Mamta Kulkarni removed, but Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Lakshmi Narayan Tripathi, who had supported Kulkarni’s rise, also faced expulsion. The move is being described as a result of Lakshmi Narayan’s alleged unilateral decisions, which led to growing dissent within the Akhada. Some members even accused him of appointing anyone he wished to high religious positions.

The expulsion of both Mamta Kulkarni and Lakshmi Narayan Tripathi has stirred the ongoing discussions surrounding the religious and spiritual dynamics of the Kinnar Akhada and its leadership.
