Divyendu Sharma aka Munna Bhaiya, the famous actor who recently found success with his film ‘Margao Express,’ has made a surprising announcement regarding the popular web series, Mirzapur.
Disappointing his fans, Divyendu, a key figure in the Mirzapur series, revealed that he won’t return for its third season. He’s known for his role as Munna Bhaiya in the series.
Munna Bhaiya Talks About The Struggle
In a recent interview with Humans of Bombay, Divyendu shared how deeply his role affected him personally. “We shouldn’t delve too deeply into a character and romanticize it excessively because it’s not easy. Sometimes, it became very negative for me. I felt suffocated. It’s tough, you know. It’s only after stepping out of it that you realize how detrimental it was.”
Regarding his recent movie release, ‘Margao Express,’ directed by Kunal Khemu, it features Prateik Gandhi, Avinash Tiwari, and Nora Fatehi. It’s a comedy film with a mixed response from the audience. As for Mirzapur, it remains one of the most popular shows, though the release date for its third season hasn’t been announced yet.
The first season of Mirzapur premiered on November 16, 2018, garnering considerable success. Pankaj Tripathi rose to stardom overnight with this series. The second season was released in October 2020. Now, after four years, the third season is anticipated to arrive by the end of this year. Mirzapur 3 features a star-studded cast, including Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Rasika Duggal, Vijay Verma, Harshita Gaur, Anjum Sharma, Priyanshu Painyuli, Sheeba Chaddha, Rajesh Tailang, Manurishi Chaddha, and Isha Talwar, among others.
