In a much-anticipated update for fans of Bollywood’s action-packed cop universe, it has been confirmed that there will be no cameo appearance of Salman Khan’s iconic character, Chulbul Pandey, in Rohit Shetty’s upcoming film Singham Again. While rumors had been swirling for months about a potential crossover between Shetty’s Singham franchise and Salman Khan’s Dabangg series, the filmmaker has officially put the speculation to rest.
The confirmation came after weeks of fan theories, media reports, and gossip suggesting that Chulbul Pandey would be joining Ajay Devgn’s Singham in a blockbuster cop-universe mash-up. However, Rohit Shetty, the man behind the success of Singham, Simmba, and Sooryavanshi, clarified that no such crossover is in the works for Singham Again.
Salman Khan was scheduled to shoot for his cameo in Singham Again on Monday, October 14 in Mumbai, however, the same was canceled owing to the sudden and unfortunate demise of Baba Siddique on Sunday, October 12. Rohit Shetty and team had to submit the movie Singham Again to the censors on Friday, October 18, 2024, hence no time was left to reschedule and shoot Salman’s cameo. Respecting the privacy and considering the vulnerability of the situation, the makers decided to cancel the cameo shoot, with the promise of collaborating in the near-future.
Singham Again is all set to release on Diwali 2024. The movie has already created a lot of excitement for itself with an amazing multi-starred cast including Ajay Devgan, Deepika Padukone, and various cameos of Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, and Kareena Kapoor Khan from the Rohit Shetty police multiverse.
In conclusion, while the idea of a crossover between Chulbul Pandey and Bajirao Singham may have captured the imaginations of fans, Singham Again will remain focused on its core characters, ensuring that Rohit Shetty’s cop universe continues to thrive on its own terms.
