In a recent interview with ANI, national award winner Pankaj Tripathi spoke about the hardships and busted the myth of social media regarding celebrities
In the interview, Pankaj Tripathi spoke about his upcoming film where he portrayed former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, titled “Mai Atal Hun“.
While shooting the biopic, carrying the look of Atalji was not easy and what caused him to struggle was the prosthetic makeup.
What Pankaj Tripathi Says:
Pankaj Tripathi said, “Shooting is a very difficult task. For the film ‘Main Atal Hoon,’ I had to do prosthetic makeup on my face and nose. There is a rule in prosthetic makeup that you should stay in at least 22 degrees or beyond the temperature zone so, that you don’t sweat. Otherwise, the prosthetic will start melting, and due to which actors get distracted.”
Well knowing all the prerequisites, the actor had to do the shoot at 46 degrees Celsius which he explained further,
“I shot with prosthetics in 46-degree temperature in Lucknow. I was shooting for 12 hours straight. And when there are so many problems happening in your body then it gradually affects your mind. It also affects your performance. For me, I didn’t want this problem to show in my performance.”
The actor continued, “As it’s Atal ji’s film, you can’t make any improvisation in it. You can only play with posture and gesture, not with his speech and dialogues”.
Talking about the cinema from the view of the layman, actor’s lives always seem glorious. Instagram posts show the work of PR. Only good pictures to show, the actor Pankaj Tripathi said.
“Filmmaking is all about hard work. Cinema demands hard work, not like what’s shown on Instagram… There are grueling 12-hour shoots for which we have to arrive on sets one or hour an hour prior. It’s not an easy task as it seems to be.”
Ravi Jadhav directs the movie ‘Main Atal Hoon,’ written by Rishi Virmani and Ravi Jadhav. It’s scheduled to release in theaters on January 19, supported by Bhanushali Studios Limited and Legend Studios, with backing from Vinod Bhanushali, Sandeep Singh, Sam Khan, and Kamlesh Bhanushali.
