Rajkummar Rao Recalls the Guidance Given by Shah Rukh Khan: Recently, Rajkummar Rao spent Rs 44 crore on a home in Mumbai. The actor revealed in a recent interview that he purchased the home beyond his financial capabilities because he was reminded of a statement made to him by Bollywood actor and idol Shah Rukh Khan. Rao further mentioned how lovingly he and his actor-wife Patralekhaa built their home.
Rao told Mashable India of Shah Rukh’s guidance, saying, “One thing Shah Rukh sir taught me is: ‘Beta kabhi bhi ghar lega na, toh aukaat se thoda zyaada lena. Kyunki fir na, upar wala bhi dekhta hai aur tu khud bhi zyada mehnat karega’
As a result, Rajkummar purchased a lavish three-floor Mumbai home that is said to be 3,456 square feet. For Rs 44 crore, he purchased the home from his “Mr & Mrs Mahi” co-star Janhvi Kapoor. It appears that Janhvi paid Rs 39 crore for the property in December 2020.
The actor went on, “Of course, having a house in the city is a dream, and Patralekhaa and I have built it with love.” Now, we just rush home after packing up.”
Shah Rukh Khan had previously disclosed that the time when he purchased his Mumbai home, Mannat, was beyond his financial ability, leaving him without the funds to furnish it.
Shahrukh remembered reaching out to an interior designer for Mannat around the release of Gauri Khan’s coffee table book, “My Life In Design,” but soon discovered that the interior designer’s charges exceeded his monthly earnings.
We gave one designer a call. The cost of the lunch he gave us while explaining how he would create this house was far higher than my previous monthly pay. So, after purchasing it, we considered how to furnish this home. Shahrukh Khan then responded, “See, Gauri, you have artistic talent. How about you become the house designer?” That’s how Mannat began,”
He also remembered that after months of gaining money, he and Gauri bought a few minor items for their home.
