Shaitan is one of the most anticipated films of 2024. It is raising excitement among fans. In the list of Bollywood horror movies, Shaitan, featuring Ajay Devgan, Jyotika and R. Madhavan, seems to be the one to raise the bar. The first look of Shaitan revealed on Wednesday has already had bone-chilling effects on viewers. Now, today, on Thursday, makers have dropped their teaser to blow your mind away. In the teaser, R. Madhavan’s devil smile and voice will keep you dumbstruck.
The Teaser Talks
Talking about the teaser released on 25th January by Jio Studios, it starts with a background voice, a voice of the devil which delivers warning cum introductory dialogues, presenting the devil and the power it holds. It says, “They say the world is deaf. And yet, they follow every word of mine. I am the darkness and temptation; from sinister prayers to forbidden spells, I rule the nine circles of hell.” In the one-minute-plus teaser, Madhavan’s voice-over sets an eerie tone.
In the movie, Madhavan plays a character called Shaitaan. Meanwhile, Ajay Devgan and Jyotika’s role is to be the prey or the victims. It is not clear yet but according to teaser the devil, played by R. Madhavan, claims to be both harmful and healing, saying he silently observes everything, including the night, twilight, and the entire universe, the duo in the teaser seems scared on Madhavan’s creepy smile at the end. The teaser reflects the film’s involvement with black magic, showing voodoo dolls and other magical things.
The movie is set to come out on March 8, and while the story is a secret, the cast’s social media hints add to the excitement.
Ajay Devgan dropped the teaser on Instagram with the caption, “Who poochega tumse… ek khel hai, kheloge? Par uske behkaave mein mat aana! (Don’t be tempted when he asks you to play a game)”
The same teaser was posted by the other co-stars, raising the heat and curiosity among fans. Where Madhavan’s post read, “Chahe jo bhi ho jaye, uske behkaave mein mat aana. (No matter what happens, don’t be tempted by him)”. Jyotika captioned the same with, “Khel bhi uska, aur niyam bhi uske. Kuch aisa hai #Shaitaan ka behkaava. (He makes the game and sets the rules; that’s how he tempts you.
The Team Behind the Craft
The film is presented by Jio Studios, Ajay Devgn Films, and Panorama Studios International. Ajay, Jyoti Deshpande, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak are producing it. The music is by Devi Sri Prasad, sparking rumours about a connection to a 2023 Gujarati film.
