Recently, Ekta Kapoor launched a transgender character in the film, which surprised fans. Ekta Kapoor has previously introduced many new faces on TV, but this is the first time she has cast a transgender woman in a leading role, making her the first producer to do so.
Bonita Rajpurohit Has Landed The Lead Role in The Film
The transgender woman launched by Ekta Kapoor in the lead role in ‘Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2’ is Bonita Rajpurohit, who portrays the character of Kullu in the film. A sneak peek from Bonita Rajpurohit’s film has also been revealed.
The filmmakers shared a video on social media depicting Bonita Rajpurohit’s journey and how she secured the role in Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2. The video also shows director Diwakar Banerjee guiding Bonita in acting. This marks the first time a transgender woman will be seen in a leading role in a Bollywood film.
Who is Bonita Rajpurohit?
Bonita Rajpurohit, a transgender woman who was the second runner-up in Miss Trans Queen 2019, hails from a small village in Rajasthan. She is an actress, model, and artist by profession and has also been a content creator in Urban Gen-Z.
Bonita expressed her happiness in being part of Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2’. She mentioned her past struggles as a transwoman and expressed disbelief at the opportunity to act in Bollywood.

‘Love, Sex and Cheating’ was released in 2010, marking Rajkumar Rao’s debut. The film depicted three different but interconnected stories of honor killing, an MMS scandal, and a sting operation, which was well-received by fans.
Now, 14 years after the release of the first part, its second installment is hitting the silver screen. Directed by Bollywood veteran Dibakar Banerjee, ‘Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2’ is produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor and is set to release on April 19, 2024.
