Taapsee Pannu Shares Why She Didn’t Choose a Famous Fashion Designer: Taapsee Pannu, who is renowned for her crazy decisions and sparkling honesty, recently tied the knot, breaking the pattern once more. Although lavish designer gowns are frequently associated with celebrity weddings, Taapsee chose a more intimate look for her special day. The actress shared a sweet fact in a recent interview: her wedding suit wasn’t designed by a big fashion house but by a close college friend.

She has always been one who creates her own route, she married Danish badminton player Mathias Boe in March 2024. She has delighted fans with her variety of roles and her frank nature throughout her career. Her wedding which put sentiment before luxury, was yet another example of her uniqueness.

Taapsee said in the interview, “There were talks about getting a big designer to do my wedding outfit, but that wasn’t really my vibe.” “For me, the most important thing was to feel comfortable and beautiful on my special day and what better way to achieve that than wearing something designed with love by someone I’ve known for years.”

The Story Behind Her Wedding Suit

It was her college mate who created Taapsee’s gorgeous red salwar kameez wedding attire. The actress continued, “We’ve been friends since our college days, and she knows my style preferences perfectly,” to further explain the unique bond. Together, we talked about the design and I included components that I like, including the dupatta’s kinari borders and the traditional red colour.”

Her attention to detail went beyond the aesthetic components. She mentioned that she had always pictured herself getting married in a red salwar kameez, similar to the brides she had seen at Gurudwaras and Sikh weddings when she was younger. No matter how lovely, a pastel lehenga simply wouldn’t have felt like “me” as a bride.”

The attire was just one aspect of the personal touch. Taapsee paired her wedding gown with family traditional jewellery to provide an even more personal touch. “The beautiful necklace and earrings I wore were my grandmother’s wedding jewels,” she stated. “Having a part of my family history with me on such an important day made it feel truly special.”
