After the movie 12th Fail received all the love and praise, Vikrant Massey is set to reflect his intense emotions in the upcoming project backed by Ekta Kapoor.
The actor just can’t get over the love, appreciation and gratitude for his last movie, 12th Fail, a biopic made by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Which was based on the life of IPS Manoj Kumar Sharma and his journey and struggle to become an IPS officer. Vikrant has received love from fans and many B-town biggies like Anurag Kashyap, Rani Mukherjee and others have hailed his performance and movie. For many, it was the best movie of the last year.
The actor is coming up with another project, The Sabarmati Report, opposite Rashi Khanna. The announcement came from the makers through an Instagram post. Balaji Motion Pictures posted a video about the project. Quoting, “Get ready to unfold history with an untold story- The Sabarmati Report…
The Sabarmati Report will be based on a real-life tragic incident, which is a blot in the history of independent India. The 2002 Godhra train incident shook the nation. An incident which wreaked havoc and turmoil leading to the Gujarat riots of 2002 which still remains to be tackled. The incident will be showcased on the screen by 3rd May of this year probably leaving the spectators dumbstruck.
The train Sabarmati Express was put on fire, turning the bodies into ashes. On February 27, 2002, a group of people set a train carriage on fire in Godhra, Gujarat. The train, Sabarmati Express, was carrying 59 individuals returning from Ayodhya. Unfortunately, all 59 people lost their lives in this tragic incident. Following this event, widespread riots erupted throughout Gujarat.
Cast and Team
The movie stars Vikrant Massey, Rashi Khanna, and Jawan actor Ridhi Dogra are in the main roles. Ranjan Chandel is directing the film, and it is co-produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, Amul V Mohan, and Anshul Mohan. Rashi Khanna was last seen in Sardar, a Telugu movie. The actress has just finished her shooting of the film Yodha, a Hindi movie to be released on 15 March of this year.
