Dolly Chaiwala from Nagpur became famous after a video with Bill Gates went viral on social media. In the video, Gates orders tea, and Dolly, the tea vendor, prepares it uniquely. Not only this, Billionaire himself posted the video on his Official Instagram handle. Afterward, people on social media shared the clip widely, and even a doodle was created to mark the moment.
Dolly is amazed by the attention. After getting popular, Dolly the tea vendor gave an exclusive interview to Hindustan Times. Dolly in the interview revealed his aspirations and surprise with sudden popularity.

Since that viral video, Dolly has heard a lot, One Chai please from his customers, the exact same order placed by Bill Gates. Dolly expresses surprise at the overwhelming response to the viral video, saying his tea stall is now bustling with customers ordering in a similar style.
He further revealed people were taking pictures with him and his stall, asking many questions about the incident. Dolly is in shock, unable to believe the sudden fame.

How Bill Gates met Dolly Chaiwala
He shares that a call from Hyderabad opened up new experiences for him, including his first flight and going viral. They invited him to showcase Nagpur and his unique tea style at an event. During the shoot, Dolly noticed foreigners, and one of them, Bill Gates, praised his tea, saying, ‘What a chai.’
After the video went viral, Dolly received several calls and texts from friends in shock. “They keep asking me ‘Dolly, tune chai kisko pila di’, ‘Dolly maan gaye tereko’, ‘bahut badi baat hai’. My first reaction was ‘baap re’ in shock,”, Dolly said.
Dolly wishes to Offer Tea to Prime Minister
Dolly expresses, “Bahut acha lagta hai jab log bolte hai Nagpur wale Dolly ki chai. People say ‘One chai please’ to order, and I am happy to serve them. Now, my dream is to serve tea to our Prime Minister… woh bhi ek baar chaiwale reh chuke hai…. He is an inspiration for all.”
My Shop Remains My Focus, Dolly Chaiwala
“People are crowding at the shop. While they are coming for chai, some are also asking for selfies or pictures. Us time bheed ho jaati, but humko toh kaam bhi karna hai. It is important for us. Dukaan hai toh ghar hai aur toh hum hai, and that will remain my focus,” Dolly declares.
