Who is Aarushi Nishank?

Aarushi Nishank is a well-known actress, producer, and a trained Kathak dancer. She gained fame with her music video ‘Wafa Na Raas Aayi’, which crossed 318 million views on T-Series’ YouTube channel. She is also set to appear in the upcoming film Taraani.

Apart from acting, Aarushi is a filmmaker and runs Himshree Films, which produced Major Nirala, based on her father’s novel. She is also an environmental activist and co-founder of the NGO Sparsh Ganga, working towards cleaning the Ganga River.

How Did the Fraud Happen?

According to Aarushi’s complaint, filmmakers Varun Pramod Kumar Bagla and Mansi Varun Bagla promised her a lead role in their Hindi film ‘Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyan’. They also assured her a major share in the film’s earnings and persuaded her to invest ₹5 crore in the project.

Trusting their offer, Aarushi initially transferred ₹2 crore through Himshree Films. Over time, she invested a total of ₹4 crore. However, she was later informed that another actress had been cast in her place and that the movie had already been shot in India.

Threats & Police Complaint

When Aarushi demanded her money back, the accused not only refused but allegedly threatened her. The film features actors Vikrant Massey and Shanaya Kapoor in lead roles.

Aarushi has now filed a police complaint, seeking strict action against the accused. The case has sparked a debate on frauds in the film industry, with many calling for stronger regulations.
