The creators have released the trailer of the upcoming period drama film ‘Bengal 1947: An Untold Love Story‘. Devoleena Bhattacharjee stars in this film, which effectively portrays the turmoil of romance and history. Directed by writer-director Akashaditya Lama, the film transports us to Bengal in 1947, marking the partition of India. Devoleena Bhattacharjee, who is set to begin her film career with ‘Bengal 1947’, shared, ‘There were many reasons I couldn’t refuse this role. Through this film, I reunited with director Akashaditya Lama, with whom I collaborated in his play ‘Mohenjodaro’ early in my career. Additionally, my Bengali and Assamese heritage inspired a deep connection with the film’s themes.

Star Cast of the Film ‘Bengal 1947’
The film is set to release in theaters on March 29. The musical score is composed by Abhishek Ray. Alongside Devoleena, the film features Sohela Kapoor, Omkar Das Manikpuri, Aditya Lakhia, Anil Rastogi, Pramod Pawar, Ankur Armam, Surbhi Srivastava, Falak Rahi, Vikram TDR, and Atul Gangwar. ‘Bengal 1947: An Untold Love Story’ is a collaboration between Comfed Productions Private Limited and Think Tank Global, led by producers Satish Pandey, Akashaditya Lama, and Rishabh Pandey.
