Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone’s new movie, Fighter, is set to come out in theatres worldwide on January 25, 2024. But the movie, based on the Indian Air Force, faces setbacks in the Gulf countries.

Amidst Fighter’s release a day before Republic Day, on 25th January, Fans are excited to watch the delight as a celebration of the national day in India. Also, it is the first time when the duo Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone will be sharing the screen together. But unfortunately, people in the Gulf countries might have to wait longer as the movie is said to be banned across the Middle East except in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Girish Johar, who analyzes movies and is a producer, mentioned that Fighter won’t be released in the Gulf countries except in the UAE for now. He shared the news through his social media handle along with the trailer of the film.

Reason Behind the Setback

The fighter will be shown in UAE theatres with a PG15 rating, according to sources. However, the movie hasn’t been approved by the Censor Board in other Gulf countries. Although there’s no official statement from the makers, it’s confirmed that Fighter won’t be released in those regions, excluding the UAE. However, the reason behind the setback is still undisclosed.

The Buzz for the Movie in India

In India, the action film is set to hit theatres on January 25, having already sold over 1,60,000 tickets for Day 1, earning more than Rs 5 crore. Considering these numbers, trade analysts are predicting Fighter to be the first blockbuster of 2024. Despite facing challenges in the Gulf, the movie seems to be gaining significant momentum in the Indian market.

Fighter Contains

Fighter, though it has not been confirmed officially, is based on the action of the Indian Air Force on Pakistan. It will show a glimpse of surgical strikes and occuring events. In the movie, Hrithik Roshan is Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania (Patty), while Deepika Padukone plays Squadron Leader Minal Rathore (Minni). Anil Kapoor takes on the role of Group Captain Rakesh Jai Singh (Rocky). The movie also features other actors like Karan Singh Grover, Akshay Oberoi, Talat Aziz, and Aamir Naik.
