Popular television show Jhanak star Dolly Sohi was declared dead yesterday, March 8. The actress was battling with cervical cancer. This news brings turmoil in the television industry, in the Sohi family, and among the fans and well-wishers of the actress.
The actress Dolly Sohi renowned for her roles in Jhanak and Parineetii was 48 years old. Dolly left the world at a time when her family was already mourning the recent death of her sister Amandeep Sohi, who died due to jaundice. Amandeep was also an actress who worked in the television show Badtameez Dil.
Dolly Sohi was Struggling with Cancer
Dolly Sohi was struggling with cervical cancer. She had bravely faced cancer since her diagnosis in 2023 after which Dolly exited Jhanak due to health challenges after chemotherapy. Her struggling journey with cancer first snatched her career and her life.
The grieving family confirmed their daughter’s sad demise stating, “Our beloved Dolly has left for her heavenly abode today early morning. We are in a state of shock with the loss. The final rites shall be conducted today afternoon.”
Notably, Dolly and Amandeep criticized Poonam Pandey for faking her death for cervical cancer awareness, emphasizing the insensitivity to genuine cancer fighters. The immediate losses of the two daughters have left the Sohi family and the television industry in deep sorrow.
