The 71st Miss World beauty pageant concluded on Saturday, March 9 at the Jio World Convention Center in Mumbai. Czech Republic’s Krystyna Pyszkova was crowned Miss World in the event that lasted till late night.

Poland’s Karolina Bielawska, the Miss World of 2023, crowned Krystyna Pyszkova and declared her the winner. Started by Eric Morley in 1951, Miss World is one of the oldest beauty contests globally. Models from around the world participate annually. This year marked the 71st edition of Miss World, hosted in India. Sini Shetty, Miss Femina 2022 from India, represented the country.

Sini Shetty secured 8th place in the contest. Krystyna’s victory also entitled her to a significant prize, including a crown studded with diamonds, a cash prize of Rs 10 crore, and an opportunity to travel the world for free. Additionally, the winner becomes the ambassador for ongoing charity events worldwide, aimed at integrating marginalized communities into mainstream society.

Krystyna Pyszkova: The winner of the 2024 Miss World

The winner of the 2024 Miss World title is Krystyna Pyszkova, a law student and resident of the Czech Republic. The 25-year-old Kristina is actively involved in various charity endeavors, including running her foundation providing education to children in Tanzania, and South Africa. She also personally teaches at a school within her foundation.

Participants from 112 countries participated in the Miss World program held in India. India has claimed the prestigious title six times, with winners including Rita Faria (1966), Aishwarya Rai (1994), Diana Hayden (1997), Yukta Mukhi (1999), Priyanka Chopra (2000), and Manushi Chhillar (2017).
