Pakistani actress Sarah Khan loves the Indian film industry and shares her aspirations to work in Bollywood. The actress, popular in India and Pakistan for her daily television drama Hum Tum, Khirkiyan, and Sabaat spoke with PTI. She also mentioned her favorite Bollywood celebs and the star she dreams of working within her career span.
Sarah Khan Wants to Work Salman Khan
Talking about her take on Bollywood and if she wishes to be paired with any Bollywood actor, Sarah told PTI, “For any actor, it is a big deal to work in another space so it will be great if I get to work in Bollywood. I would love to. I feel half of my audience is in India, and the other half is in Pakistan. Who is not a fan of Bollywood?… I really like Deepika Padukone. And when I began my career, I thought that I would work with Salman Khan,”
Sarah Khan Talks About Her Current Work
The 31-year-old Sarah Khan is currently working on a show titled Abdullahpur Ka Devdas aired on Zindagi. The show is a love triangle revolving around three characters. Talking about her current work, the actress said, “I wanted my audience to see Abdullapur Ka Devdas and my portrayal of Gul Bano. It’s an old-school love story set in modern times. It’s about two people who fall in love through letters.”

Similarity in Audiences of Pakistan and India, Sarah Khan
Mentioning about the similarity in audiences of the country Sarah also added, “Audiences in both India and Pakistan love beautiful love stories. We both love ‘Shayari’ and a story of love rooted culturally. These are stories that more or less are happening in our homes and in our neighborhoods. So people from both countries can relate to it. Our actors are known for their natural acting, hence the audience feels connected to them,”
Talking about Pakistani Drama’s theme
The actress claims evolution in the Pakistani film industry, she says, “It is no longer just about the love story between two good-looking people”.
Acting a Responsibility
The actress revealed that after being away from the screen, she has realized what actually makes her happy. She has realized her real happiness lies in her acting career. “I thought ‘Let me do it since it’s the time of school holidays’, but that project made me realize how big a responsibility it was. I stayed away from acting for a few years but I couldn’t find joy in any other thing. It made me realize that I wanted to be an actor and therefore was no looking back after that”.
