Actor Ronit Bose Roy, known for his roles in television series and movies, slams Swiggy on X, formerly Twitter. The actor, furious over the Food delivery giant, takes no moment as he saves a man from getting killed in an accident.
The actor lashed out at Swiggy, explaining his skirmish with one of the application’s Food delivery riders. The actor raised concerns about riding instructions provided to these delivery dudes as their driving pattern is putting their lives in danger. They burst Swiggy with a question if they really care about the lives of their employees or just want to do business anyway.
Explaining the whole face-off with the Swiggy rider, Ronit Roy wrote, “@Swiggy I almost killed one of your riders. They definitely need instructions on riding. Riding those small electric mopeds doesn’t mean that they ride on the wrong side of the road onto oncoming traffic. But then, Do you even care for their lives, or is it just business as usual?”

Swiggy Responds
After Ronit’s tweet, Swiggy made a presence within 2 hours. The platform clarified that they expect the riders to be careful and follow traffic rules but they will look into the issue. “expect” their “delivery partner to follow all traffic rules and have noted this to be looked into, do share any details if available for the necessary action to be taken.”
One of the users sided with Swiggy and denied Swiggy’s fault in the situation, as following traffic rules and driving sanely is a basic civic sense per the user.
