South actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu is known for her excellent acting. Samantha was first seen performing a dance number in Pushpa. In this, she won everyone’s hearts with her explosive performance on Oo Antava. She performed an item number for the first time. After this, she refused to perform another dance number. In an interview, Samantha said that she trembled in the first shot of this song, after which she decided not to do dance numbers again.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu attended the India Today Conclave 2024. During this, she talked about her experience working in Oo Antava and The Family Man. She shared that her decision to play the role of Raji in Oo Antava and The Family Man was the same. Regarding the dance number in Pushpa, Samantha mentioned that she had decided to work on it to explore a new style. However, she initially felt quite uncomfortable performing the song. While shooting, Samantha lacked confidence in herself.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu Considered Herself Not Beautiful And Was Afraid
Samantha further explained that she has always worked with the belief that she is not beautiful and doesn’t resemble other girls. Thus, performing ‘Oo Antava’ was a significant challenge for her. In the first shot, she trembled with fear. It was challenging for her to exude confidence in performing sensual songs. Samantha described the performance of this song as something she had never done before.

She will not do dance numbers again
During the interview, Samantha Ruth Prabhu was asked if she would perform a dance number again. She firmly refused, stating that she wouldn’t do any dance numbers in the future because she didn’t see any challenge in it. Samantha believes that the song’s lyrics were challenging for her and feels that women should move beyond being judged solely on their appearance. She emphasizes that there is no task that someone cannot accomplish.
Regarding Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s upcoming projects, she was last seen in the romantic drama film Khushi, where she shared the screen with Vijay Deverakonda. The chemistry and bold scenes between them garnered much attention. Her upcoming film is Citadel, where she plays the lead role alongside Varun Dhawan. It is directed by Raj and DK.
