T-Series Denies Production of Aashiqui 3 Anytime Soon!

Ashiqui franchise film Aashiqui 3 isn’t coming to theatres anytime soon, a big disappointment to the fans, as the owner of the franchise, T-Series has denied any plans of producing the film for the time being.

The news came in as a clarification to the ongoing rumours about Aashiqui 3 being produced by T-Series under a different title with Anurag Basu’s Direction and Kartik Aryan’s involvement as the lead actor. The company also confirmed that if they initiated the film, it will be jointly produced by T-Series and Vishesh films owned by Mukesh Bhatt as both the production houses share joint ownership of the Aashiqui franchise.

Film Analyst Taran Adarsh on Aashiqui 3

Film analyst Taran Adarsh has shared the news on X formerly Twitter that T-Series has clarified, it is not presently involved in the development or production of film Aashiqui 3.

Taran shared the official statement issued by T-Series which reads, “If and when #Aashiqui3 is initiated, #TSeries and #VisheshFilms / #MukeshBhatt being joint owners in the franchise shall produce it jointly only.“We categorically deny any ongoing rumours suggesting that #Aashiqui3 is being produced under a different title by #TSeries. Our proposed film to be directed by #AnuragBasu is neither #Aashiqui3 nor part of the #Aashiqui franchise.”

About the Film Aashiqui

T-Series and Vishesh Films together produced the 1990 movie Aashiqui, directed by Mahesh Bhatt, starring Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal. In 2013, the franchise made a comeback with Aashiqui 2, directed by Mohit Suri, featuring Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur. The second film was also a hit at the box office. Now fans are eagerly waiting for the popular franchise to come back with Aashiqui 3.
