Unemployment Benefit Scheme: Keeping in mind the unemployed youth in the country, many schemes are being run by the Central and many state governments to provide employment opportunities and brighter futures. In this regard, the Government has initiated the Unemployment Allowance Scheme aimed at supporting unemployed youth.

Unemployment Benefit Scheme: Under this scheme, eligible educated unemployed youth, who despite their qualifications, are facing unemployment, will receive benefits until April 1, 2023. The scheme provides an unemployment allowance of ₹2500 per month to assist them in finding suitable employment opportunities.
The financial assistance is directly transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), enabling them to explore job prospects in other cities. Eligible individuals, aged between 18 to 40 years, can apply for the unemployment allowance scheme online or offline. To qualify, applicants must hold educational qualifications such as 10th, 12th, graduation degrees, diplomas, or ITI degrees from recognized institutions. Additionally, the family’s annual income should be less than ₹200,000, and they should not be recipients of government post pensions. The scheme primarily targets youth from families living below the poverty line.

To apply online under the Unemployment Benefit Scheme, candidates need to visit the official website of the Unemployment Allowance Scheme or their nearest Gram Panchayat. Essential documents required for application include mark sheets, Aadhar card, residential certificate, bank account details, linked mobile number with Aadhaar, passport-size photograph, income certificate, and caste certificate.

- Visit the official portal of the Skill Development Technical Education Employment Department.
- Click on the “Services” option on the home page.
- Select “Online Registration.”
- Choose “Candidate Registration” and provide details such as district, block, and gram panchayat.
- Enter personal information including name, date of birth, educational qualifications, and address.
- Upload scanned copies of educational certificates, residential certificates, and bank account details.
- Submit the form.
Upon successful registration, eligible candidates will receive ₹2500 per month directly into their bank accounts based on their eligibility criteria.
