E-PAN: Linking Your PAN Card to Your Registered Mobile Number is Essential
In the event of a lost or damaged PAN card, the Income Tax Department offers a convenient solution to obtain a new one. However, to avail of this service, you must possess a valid Aadhaar number linked to your PAN and registered mobile number. The e-PAN can only be acquired using your Aadhaar card, with the process being completed after verification of the provided information.
Instant E-PAN Retrieval with Aadhaar Number:
- Log in to the e-portal of the Income Tax Department.
- Upon reaching the homepage, select the Instant E-PAN option.
- Proceed to the New PAN page and choose Guest New PAN.
- Enter your Aadhaar number on the New PAN page, check the Confirm box, and click Continue.
- Once the PAN card request is submitted, the next step is to download the e-PAN.
- Log in to the e-filing portal using your user ID and password.
- Look for the e-PAN service on the dashboard or click on the download option.
- You will be prompted to enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number.
- After entering the Aadhaar number, click Continue.
- An OTP will be sent to your mobile number. Enter the OTP to download your PAN card (E-PAN) for immediate use.
