Bigg Boss 16 fame Sreejita De recently took vows with Michael Bohm Pape with Bengali rituals. Before this, they had already got married in Germany in 2023. This Bengali wedding was her dream. This was a closed-door ceremony. Only close family members including actors Ashita Dhawan, Sailesh Guabani, and Shiv Thakre. This dreamy Bengali wedding was held in the festive state of Goa.
Before the wedding, she had said that it was her dream to get ready as a Bengali bride. They had held in on the previous November but due to some reason, they had to postpone it. She had shared that though they had already celebrated their 1st marriage anniversary still it felt something new. She had shared that she had shown videos of Bengali weddings to her in-laws and they were well prepared for the day. As they had seen this in Bollywood movies also they are all the more excited. She added that many questioned her how many weddings she wanted to do but they were very clear they wanted to give equal respect to both traditions thus they held it separately.
This time it was a two-day ceremony including haldi, mehendi, sangeet, and finally the wedding. Shreejita has shared dreamy photos of her wedding on social media. Shreejita dressed up in a beautiful Benarasi saree with gorgeous gold jewelry, a headgear, and a golden dupatta. She styled her forehead with red bindi and saddle paste. On the other, the groom was dressed in Sherwani and pajama, with topor (headgear). Fans are going gaga over the post. She has captioned it “Cherished for life, taken forever.” Niyati Fatnani couldn’t control her excitement and wrote, “So beautiful. Wishing you guys lifetime of love and togetherness.” Kishwer Merchantt commented, “Arrreeeeeee jaaaneman Mubarak ho. so happy for u.” Fans are congratulating her. One of her fans wrote in Bengali, “Onak onak subecha ,,,khub valo katuk toder married live….. ( many many best wishes… have a beautiful married life).”
In an interview she said, it turned out as per the plan. She wanted it to be cozy, traditional, and persona; an intimate gathering with people who loved them. She was glad that everyone enjoyed it.
