Anurag Kashyap acknowledges he is a lousy relationship builder and that he is a bad father to his daughter Aaliyah Kashyap.
Renowned filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has often demonstrated his exceptional directing skills. One thing, though, he regrets not doing a better job of raising his daughter Aaliyah Kashyap. The Gangs of Wasseypur actor discussed how this led to him being a bad father in his podcast about his daughter. Anurag admitted to being a bad father to Aaliyah, saying, “I think I have been a friend to you rather than actually a father and I know you miss that.” Anurag and Aaliyah were honest about parenting. In actuality, your mother has been your mother.”In response to Anurag, Aaliyah stated that he was amazing with her because he was more of a friend than a father.
Aaliyah even responded to a humorous jab by stating, “I just want a sibling from my parents.” I’ve been an only child for my entire childhood. I assumed you two would date separate people and have at least one sibling because you and more are divorced. Then Anurag retorted that he was too old to be a parent at this time.
Even Anurag Kashyap said that he is not a romance guy. Anurag feels his fixation with his profession and the type of films he makes has affected his relationships. He was married to actress Kalki Koechlin for a year before divorcing her, and he was then married to Aarti Bajaj before divorcing her again.
As a director who has never shied away from speaking his mind, Anurag didn’t hold back this time on his podcast when discussing his vulnerabilities. Recently, Anurag married Aaliyah in accordance with her wishes, fulfilling all of his obligations as the ideal father to his daughter. Kalki Koechlin, together with her husband and daughter, was present at the wedding.
