Arbaaz Khan on Baba Siddique Murder: Bollywood actor and filmmaker Arbaaz Khan has spoken for the first time about the shocking murder of Maharashtra’s former MLA and NCP leader Baba Siddique. Siddique was shot dead on October 12 in Bandra, Mumbai, by members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
Arbaaz Khan’s Emotional Reaction
It’s worth noting that Siddique was a close friend of Salman Khan. Earlier, the Bishnoi gang had also threatened Salman, with shots being fired at his residence, Galaxy Apartments, in April 2024. In a recent interview, Arbaaz shared that the incident has left his entire family disturbed.
During promotions for his upcoming film Banda Singh Chaudhary, starring Arshad Warsi and Mehr Vij, Arbaaz told Zoom, “We are okay, but I wouldn’t say we are completely fine because there’s a lot going on in the family. Of course, everyone is disturbed.”
He added, “I am committed to promoting Banda Singh Chaudhary, which is releasing on October 25. There’s a lot happening, but I have to do what I need to do.”
Arbaaz also expressed his grief at an event in Mumbai on Wednesday. He said, “Baba Siddique was a very close friend and a wonderful person. His passing is deeply saddening. We are all affected by this tragedy. It’s unfortunate, but we are trying to cope with it. All we can do is pray.”
The Tragic Murder of Baba Siddique on October 12
Mumbai Crime Branch revealed that three shooters fired six rounds at Siddique, three of which hit him. The killing has sent shockwaves across the nation and the film industry, as Siddique had close ties with many Bollywood celebrities. His funeral was held on October 13 with full state honors at Bada Kabrastan.
Bishnoi Gang Claims Responsibility for the Murder
The day after the attack, the Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for the murder in a Facebook post by one of its members. The post mentioned that Siddique was targeted due to his alleged ties with underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. It also issued a warning to those associated with Salman Khan, stating they would face consequences.
