Armaan Malik, a popular YouTuber and former contestant of Bigg Boss OTT 3, has landed in controversy following allegations of assaulting a fellow YouTuber named Saurabh in Haridwar. The incident unfolded on the night of November 20 when Armaan, along with a group of men, reportedly confronted Saurabh at his residence in Jwalapur.
Armaan claims his actions were provoked by Saurabh’s offensive online behavior, including a YouTube video with a shocking thumbnail accusing Armaan of harming his 1.5-year-old daughter. It read, “Armaan ne kiya apne beti ka r*pe.” According to Armaan, the video crossed all boundaries of decency, compelling him to take action. “A person should feel ashamed when speaking about someone’s daughter,” Armaan said, adding that the video wasn’t a mere comment but a ten-minute-long attack on his family.
Armaan explained that the visit to Saurabh’s house was intended as a conversation but escalated when Saurabh allegedly made further disrespectful remarks. The situation spiraled, leading Armaan to involve the police. He stated that a complaint had already been filed before the confrontation.
The YouTuber also accused Saurabh of targeting his family for over two years, claiming the attacks were solely for gaining online views. Armaan expressed frustration, saying Saurabh had consistently sought attention through defamatory content. He said, “Views ke liye yeh ladka itna gir gaya tha ki isne humare gharpe koi nahi choda. Insaan ko doob marna chaiye, jab koi kisi ki beti ke liye bol de toh. Har pal yeh rehta tha ki, ‘Aaj nahi kal action hoga.’ Humne complain bhi kar rakhi hai. Kisi ki beti 1.5 year ki hai, uske liye itni tipni, yeh comment nahi tha, but 10-minute ka video tha,”
Haridwar police intervened, mediating between the two parties and deleting Saurabh’s controversial videos. Armaan revealed that he agreed to a compromise after witnessing the difficult condition of Saurabh’s mother. He admitted that this softened his stance, leading to a resolution.
Despite the incident, Armaan emphasized his willingness to apologize if the public believed his actions were unjustified. He acknowledged that emotions had run high and expressed concern for his family’s dignity and safety.
The controversy has drawn widespread attention, reigniting debates around the limits of free speech and online responsibility. Armaan has urged the media to handle the matter sensitively, highlighting the involvement of a young child in the controversy.
