In a significant breakthrough, a member of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang, involved in a conspiracy to assassinate Bollywood actor Salman Khan, was remanded into four-day police custody by a Panvel court in Maharashtra on Friday.
The accused, Sukha alias Sukhbir Balbir Singh, was apprehended by a team of Navi Mumbai police from Panipat, Haryana, two days prior. The arrest is linked to the gang’s ongoing plot to target Salman Khan, a plot that has garnered national attention due to the star’s immense popularity.
Authorities have also confirmed that Singh will be questioned in connection with the murder of NCP leader and former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique. Further investigations are underway, and police are working to unravel the gang’s criminal network.
