The Telugu film ‘Hanuman,’ which has surprised with its worldwide box office earnings, is set to release in Japan. Director Prashanth Varma announced the Japan release date on social media. According to him, the film will be released with Japanese subtitles for the local audience and will hit the screens on October 4 this year.

When will ‘Hanuman’ release in Japan?

Prashanth Varma reposted a post from an X user that shared the Telugu trailer with Japanese subtitles. Reposting it, the director wrote, “After creating a sensation everywhere, Hanuman is ready to amaze the Japanese audience. The version with Japanese subtitles is set to release on October 4.” He also used the hashtag #HanuManInJapan.

The Teja Sajja starrer ‘Hanuman’ was released worldwide on January 12, 2024. Made on a budget of just ₹40 crore, the film collected a net of ₹201.63 crore in India, with a worldwide gross collection of ₹295 crore. Besides Teja Sajja, the film featured important roles played by Amritha Aiyer, Vinay Rai, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and Vennela Kishore.

Sequel to ‘Hanuman’ titled ‘Jai Hanuman’ is also coming

With the release of ‘Hanuman,’ the sequel ‘Jai Hanuman’ was also announced. In April this year, on the occasion of Ram Navami, Prashanth Varma shared the poster of ‘Jai Hanuman,’ which showed the hands of Hanuman and Ram. Along with the film’s title, the poster also had “Happy Ram Navami” and “Vachanam Dharmasya Rakshanam” written on it. With this post, Prashanth Varma wished everyone a happy Ram Navami.

According to reports, ‘Jai Hanuman’ is expected to release in 2026. However, there have been no major updates on the film’s star cast yet.
