The alleged kidnapping of comedian and actor Sunil Pal has taken unexpected turns, raising questions about the authenticity of the incident. On December 2, Pal disappeared while traveling from Delhi to Haridwar for an event. His wife promptly filed a missing person’s report, and although he returned to Mumbai on December 4, the case has continued to unfold with new revelations.

Recently, two audio recordings surfaced online, allegedly featuring conversations involving Sunil Pal. In one recording, a man accuses Pal of orchestrating the kidnapping. He claims they followed his instructions but expresses disappointment over Pal’s actions afterward. Pal is heard denying any wrongdoing, stating that the media followed him and that no official complaint was made. When the man questions if Pal informed his wife, Pal responds that cybercrime and the media uncovered the situation and advises the man to avoid further meetings.

In response to the audio clips, Sunil Pal admitted that the voice in one of the recordings was his but claimed he spoke under confinement. Pal explained that the perpetrators had detailed information about him and issued death threats, which compelled him to comply with their demands during the recorded conversation.

The investigation into the case has revealed possible connections to a gang suspected of other crimes, including the recent kidnapping of Bollywood actor Mushtaq Khan. Authorities are now exploring whether the same group is responsible for both incidents. Six individuals have been detained for questioning, while key suspects, including Lavi Pal and Arjun Karnawal, remain at large. Police operations are ongoing to locate them.

A crucial breakthrough came when CCTV footage captured two suspects purchasing jewelry in Meerut using ransom money. This led the Uttar Pradesh Police to raid over two dozen locations in Bijnor, resulting in the detention of two individuals and the arrest of two suspects seen in the footage. The suspects were identified as Lavi Pal and Arjun Kamawal. Maharashtra Police have also frozen the bank accounts used in the ransom transactions to assist the investigation.

Sunil Pal’s account reveals that the kidnappers initially demanded ₹20 lakh in ransom but later settled for ₹7.5 lakh, which he transferred before being released on December 3. Senior police officials confirmed that the investigation is focused on analyzing the CCTV evidence and tracking the suspects to uncover the full extent of their involvement.
